Insight of GaN and SiC Market 

Power electronics has taken an interesting road with the adoption of GaN and SiC. Yole Développement (Yole) estimated a general view of these wide bandgap materials. While silicon is still dominating the market, GaN and SiC devices are already more efficient solutions in some applications. ams Q2-2020 results overview

Premstaetten, Austria (29 July 2020) — ams (SIX: AMS), a leading worldwide supplier of high performance sensor solutions, reports record revenues for the second quarter, up 13% year-on-year and at the mid-point of the expectation range, with strong adjusted operating profitability at the top end of the expectation range. Despite these factors ams expects a very good third quarter with revenues of USD 530-570 million and continued strong profitability resulting in an adjusted operating (EBIT) margin of 21-24%.

Chip Manufacturing Equipment Spending to Hit Record High $70B in 2021

Murata offers 01005 Size MLCC with a Capacitance Value of 1.0μF

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has developed the world’s first*1 multilayer ceramic capacitor with a capacitance value of 1.0µF in the 01005 inch size (0.4×0.2mm), which is increasingly used in a wide range of mobile electronic devices including smartphones. Mass production of the GRM022R60G105M with a rated voltage of 4Vdc has already started and mass production of GRM022R60J105M with a rated voltage of 6.3Vdc is scheduled to begin in 2021.
