Lockheed Martin secures $2.77B U.S. Army contract 

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a ~$2.77B hybrid (cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price) contract. The contract is for Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (‘GMLRS’) Alternative Warhead rocket pods, GMLRS Unitary Warhead rocket pods, Low-Cost Reduced Range Practice rocket pods, cybersecurity services, integrated product support and other services. Work locations and funding to be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 31, 2024.

Raytheon Technologies secures $518.44M AMRAAM Contract

Raytheon Technologies has been awarded a ~$518.44M firm-fixed-price, incentive contract for Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (‘AMRAAM’) Production Lot 34, with priced options for Lots 35 and 36.Contract provides for the production of the Lot 34 AMRAAMs, Captive Air Training Missiles, guidance sections, AMRAAM Telemetry System, initial and field spares, and other production engineering support hardware and activities. Work to be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed Dec. 31, 2023. The contract involves unclassified Foreign Military Sales.

Lockheed Martin Wins Space Contract 

In 2020, Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) received $123 billion in contract awards including awards which are optional in nature. With a change in administration, there’s some doubt about how defense budgets will develop going forward. We won’t directly see any big changes in financial results when there’s a transition in administration and weapon system acquisition tends to be a multi-year trajectory, so changes might actually not be as obvious as some expect, but it remains highly interesting to look at how contracts awards are developing.

BAE Systems to Develop Advanced Military GPS Receivers and Chips

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa–(BUSINESS WIRE)–BAE Systems received a $247 million contract from the U.S. Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center to design and manufacture an advanced military GPS receiver and next-generation semiconductor. The technology will provide positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) capabilities to warfighters so they can execute missions in challenging electromagnetic environments.

Stratford-based Sikorsky lands $1B contract for U.S. Air Force helicopter upgrades
